Welcome to Mrs Halstead's webpage.  I am the School Psychologist at Judson School.

Here are a few things to think about for a successful start of the year.  We all need a breakfast to start the day, even a granola bar in the car would be much better than nothing.  If your children say they don't like breakfast, take them to the store and let them choose a good granola bar or breakfast bar.

Sleep is also very important for school success.  A routine seems to be very important.  Many children enjoy a shower or tub, listening to quiet music, reading a story or having a story read to them.  Watching TV and playing video or computer games do NOT seem to encourage sleep.  In fact, many of our families report that their children study and sleep better when TV and games are strictly limited during the week or saved for the weekend.  Have a wonderful start to the year!
