Welcome to
Mrs. Reiter's Webpage

Hello and welcome to my webpage.  I am looking forward to an exciting and rewarding 2008-2009 school year.  I hope you find the information on this website helpful and useful.  I have been teaching at Judson for the past seven years.  Ever since I can remember I have wanted to be a teacher and help enrich the lives of young children.  I have two children of my own, a son and a daughter.  In my free time, I love spending time with my family, reading, skiing, and scrapbooking.  Throughout the year I will be updating this website.  Please use it as an additional resource for information about our classroom.  A good relationship between home and school helps to ensure the success of children.  Please feel free to contact me at school through email or phone.

  • Here's What We're Learning About

In math we are learning about the place value of numbers through the thousands.  We will apply our knowledge to learning centers that reflect the skills being taught.  It would be helpful if students started reviewing the multiplication facts they learned last year at home so they will be ready to learn more facts this year.

In science we will be learing about biomes.  We will study the tundra, rainforest, deciduous forest, and desert.  We will be doing web quests and different activities relating to the characteristics of each biome to help support our learning.

In social studies we be learning numerous map skills.  The students will be finding map distances using scale, looking at map keys and their symbols, finding locations of world cities based on latitude and longitude, and many other key skills used by geographers.
